2012 GIO Rock Liner II - 550cc EFI 4x4 Quad ATV

NEW FOR 2012, the Rock Liner II is our professional-grade flagship utility ATV that offers a redesigned chassis, more power, superior engineering with unbeatable features like electronic fuel injection and true 4x4 all-wheel drive ability. The Rock Liner II comes with all the bells and whistles like independent front and rear suspension, water-cooled single-cylinder 550cc four-stroke OHV engine, full color info-center LCD display, and 2000 pound winch. The Rock Liner II is a beast that is matched to any task and is built to last. With full metal protective boots for the front shocks and axles, rear axle, differentials, and undercarriage and all new pierce-resistant ABS molded plastic fender and body, the Rock Liner II is ready to take serious abuse anywhere you’re willing to take it. The selectable four-wheel drive capability is a must for anyone operating in rough terrain where traction is paramount and slipping is not an option. This imposing ATV is built like a tank but is perfect for everyday utility and long adventures. With rear box storage, cargo racks, and passenger seating, the Rock Liner II gets anything done with comfort to spare. We always find it flattering when people draw comparisons of our quads to the venerable Honda brand – and the Rock Liner II continues that tradition by often being compared to the Honda Foreman 4x4. But we’ll give you hint – they both get the job done, they both have similar features … but one is significantly more affordable!

Features

EFI 550cc Engine

The Rock Liner II features our most powerful ATV engine, a sophisticated and completely reengineered single-cylinder four-stroke that features electronic fuel injection (EFI). EFI really makes a difference with significantly improved acceleration and power control, markedly improving your riding experience and saving you money on fuel. The high-torque engine is longitudinally mounted for better engine efficiency, simplified internal design, and reduced weight, allowing a lower and more optimal center of gravity. This results in better balance and handling and improves cornering. The power plant feature a large air intake and filter design for better engine breathing and improved engine air flow.

Bigger, Redesigned Chassis

The first thing you’ll notice about the Rock Liner II compared to the original Rock Liner is the beefier, bulkier redesigned frame, sitting longer and wider than before. This new tank-like stance improves stability and performance on tough terrain. With a redesign comes better reinforced steel for the frame, new computer-welded joints for higher quality and durability, new weight reduction techniques to accommodate the larger frame, and new protective and durability features. Those features include completely redesigned protective boots and shields with wider area for critical components such as suspension, steering, drive train, axles, differentials, and riders! All those critical components were improved too – higher grade metals and plastics, thicker axles and more.

More Control

The Rock Liner II features better sensitivity and control over the quad with a redesigned braking system, automatic transmission, wider rider stance, and improved weight configuration. The automatic transmission makes operating this ATV easy – choose forward, neutral or reverse, with an easy to use 2WD/4WD shifter as well. One great new feature of the Rock Liner II is its dual engine disc brake, which applies braking power to the drive shaft of the quad. This gives you instantaneous control of every wheel of the quad and allows you to stop on a dime. Add that to massive disc brakes on each axle (4 total) that are cross-drilled for reduced weight, and you have one of the safest and most controllable quads out there. While lacking power steering, the Rock Liner II more than makes up for it with excellent braking and very responsive handlebars for quick turning and excellent control.

Industry-Leading Suspension

The dual A-frame independent four-wheel long-travel suspension on the Rock Liner II is something that has to be experienced – it offers amazing comfort and impact suppression and improves handling and control. We’ve upgraded it this year to feature a rear sway bar that improves side stability and provides a more controlled ride. The coil-over adjustable shocks come with protective boots and make climbing through uneven terrain a breeze.

All-new Body Design

The new orange and black themed body is not only stylish and easy on the eyes, but also incredibly durable and protective. We added more foot protection to the foot wells, improved plastic quality to ABS high-grade polymer, and reshaped the body for a more aggressive look. The new ABS fenders are puncture resistant and incredibly durable – just try giving them some abuse and you’ll see what we mean.

Large Dependable Wheels

The Rock Liner II features a beautiful chrome-plated reinforced alloy wheel design that couple directly to independently driven axles and disc brakes. The wheels and extra-deep tread tires are meant to take any task to be thrown their way and not bend, break, or give in. Thick wheel arms in both width and depth ensure the full weight of the Rock Liner is supported at all times, and a chrome-plating gives the quad that extra bit of class.

Rider Comfort

With independent four-wheel suspension comfort is a given – but we don’t stop there. The rider experience is unmatched with an extremely comfy seat design and ergonomic stance for those long rides. Your passenger will be comfy too using the sit-behind rear passenger seat with vertical back support cushion. Combine that with remote key control (with remote start, alarm, and lock/unlock) and hassle-free cold-weather electric starting and you’ve got a ride that puts you first.

Full Color LCD Infocenter

Display Being distracted by hard to read instruments can be a killer out there in the harsh environments we throw our ATVs into. That’s why the Rock Liner features one of the easiest to read heads-up displays out there with ideal positioning to make monitoring your ride easy. The brightly colored display features odometer, trip odometer, fuel level, thermometer, speedometer, turn signal display, 2WD/4WD indicator, RPM, gear position indicator, imperial/metric toggle, and more.

Full Featured Utility

The Rock Liner II comes with all the features you find standard on a utility ATV. In addition to a capable, durable power train, frame, and suspension, it’s the little features that count like 2000 pound handlebar-controlled winch, front and rear cargo metal cargo racks, rear passenger handles, rear storage box, and rear hitch for trailer mounting.
