High-Torque GY6 150cc Engine

The Hummer’s class-leading four-stroke single-cylinder 150cc longitudinally-mounted engine blows our competitor’s comparable engines out of the water. This smooth idling, easy tuning nitro engine is a reliable piece of machinery designed for low-end torque and top-end speed. Our new 2012 design sees the engine and cylinder direction mounted more horizontally (longitudinally) than previously, with the transmission coupling directly behind it on the frame in a horizontal position. This improves efficiency, simplifies internal design, reduces weight and allows a more optimal and lower center of gravity. This results in better balance, handling, and reduces sway and improves cornering, all while improving performance by increasing power-to-weight ratio. This is the same engine also found in one of our dune buggies – imagine the performance improvement on a frame this size! The automatic transmission system features a simple Reverse-Neutral-Forward gear system. The new “530” drive chain is thicker and more durable, preventing slipping and popping. The gun-metal chrome exhaust features a single roaring muffler and matte black piping.

Redesigned, Reinforced Rear Axle

The complete reengineering of the Hummer’s rear axle compared to previous year’s ATVs dramatically increases reliability, lifetime, and performance. The new design features a 1”+ diameter reinforced stainless steel axle to support any weight or impact thrown its way. The bearings, bushings, hubs, and all hardware components have all been completely redesigned and upgraded with new CNC machining practices. The new axle housing assembly is much thicker and wider and features stainless steel design for improved axle and sprocket protection and eliminates any ground drag or chain popping. The new hardened ABS plastic underguard protects all the rear axle components including the chain, housing, sprocket and rear swing arm from debris and damage.

All-new Body and Frame Design

The new design of the frame, body components, rider positioning, racks, and control components mark an improvement over similar-class ATVs. The bulky front hardened-composite plastic grille protects the front suspension, steering, and engine from damage while mimicking the true Hummer front-end design. When we say hardened plastic we mean HARD – our new composite ABS plastic is the same type found on Hondas and can take serious abuse, reviling a similar metal design and saving huge amounts of weight. You’ll see the same material used in the fully-enclosed foot rest, protecting your feet from sticks, branches, and rocks. The same material is used on fenders and body components for ultimate durabililty. The front and rear feature aluminum racks for mounting and strapping cargo. The larger-diameter frame tubes are made of stainless steel and have been bulked up to take more abuse, with reinforced joints.

Long-Travel Nitro-Gas Suspension and Huge Disc Braking System

The great suspension you come to expect from all Gio ATV’s makes its sequel appearance on the Hummer, featuring nitro-gas adjustable steel coil-over shock absorbers and adjustable 3-position reinforced steel swing arm. The dual front suspension features long-travel shocks for extra impact absorption. The rear single shock features long travel for a comfy ride on your behind and an adjustable-lift swing arm for moving from a low-ride to a high-sitting ride. The shocks on this ride shine with beautiful white coil-overs and metallic CNC machined components and gas reservoir. The wide stance of the hummer provides stability and a better cornering ride. The revamped brake system features extra-large hydraulic disc brakes that are cross-drilled to reduce weight, with one per front wheel and one large rear disc.
