NEW FOR 2012, Gio’s Pit Bull Series racing off-road motorcycles (pit bikes) are the sweetest machines we’ve put on the track, and the XP155cc is king of the hill. When we say new, we mean really new – as in all new engine design, frame, tires, carb, welding, graphics, shocks, and more! With every year our engineering and manufacturing gets better – and that equals incredible quality in products for the same low price. That practice really shines through with our Pit Bull Series of pit bikes, perfect for everyone from the beginner rider to the craziest daredevil.

The XP155cc packs a massively explosive power plant on a small but accommodating frame, suited to any adult or large youth. The 155cc, four-stroke single-cylinder oil-cooled Loncin engine blows you away with an 11.5:1 compression and 17 hp, the same power as most 250cc bikes! This equals incredible acceleration and torque, and a crazy 100+ km/h top speed. The new 2012 engines have been completely redesigned, with a lower-sitting, entirely horizontal cylinder and head, leading to better transmission coupling, lower center of gravity, and a smoother, shake-reducing ride. The cylinder is fed by a new air intake design with better contamination protection and a high-quality Mikuni 30mm carburetor, “the finest motorcycle carburetors made today.” Oil-cooling keeps the engine performing optimally while reducing weight.

New engineering standards have improved every area of our bikes. Better computer-controlled CNC welding systems ensure perfect joints and a more efficient, stronger steel frame with higher quality metal. All aluminum on the XP155cc has been upgraded to the highest grade – 6061 aircraft aluminum, which is CNC milled by computer-controlled cutting machines on all parts. Frames and mounts have all been redesigned and are hollowed/drilled where possible to reduce weight. New to Gio this year, the XP155cc features Kendra high-quality MX off-road tires with huge treads. The smaller pit bike tires feature 14” front and 12” rear diameters for excellent turn radius and handling and lightning fast responsiveness.

We’ve improved our wheel mounting system too, along with an exciting new brand of super high-quality shocks, DNM Performance Shocks. The new suspension system features a DNM MT-RC 290mm (850 lbs/in) coil-over adjustable rear shock featuring steel damper shaft, CNC machining, spherical plain bearing, external nitro gas reservoir, 77mm travel and adjustable compression, rebound, and reload; and a hand/custom-made DNM triple-tree featuring 735mm adjustable long-travel dual front shocks. The brakes on the XP155cc are brand new too and super responsive – featuring massive cross-drilled 210mm diameter hydraulic front disc and cross-drilled 200mm hydraulic rear disc (cross-drilling reduces weight without degrading performance). The single exhaust features a beautiful oval black chrome design with a tapered gun-metal CNC tip, and it belts out a throaty high-pitched roar that sounds brilliant.

When we say everything is new we mean it – we have really spared no cost on this bike to improve everything. It even features newer, more comfortable and durable grips. It’s the details that count and the XP155cc pays attention to them all, from its new sprocket design, to its high-quality KNC chain, to its sharp new graphics and color schemes. When you think you’ve seen it all in standard size bikes, come see the thrill and power you’ll get out of a pit bike – the unmatched power to weight ratio is insane. The complete engine and frame redesign, the new body and graphics design, the upgrade of literally every part – make this bike not only an intense, joyful experience but an excellent value.
