Ordering Questions & Order Status
How do I place an order?(top) Simply click the "Add to Cart" button which will place the item in your shopping cart. At that point, you can continue shopping or proceed to checkout. When you have finished adding items to your cart and have made any changes to your product quantity, custom services and custom options, click the "Checkout Now" button and follow the directions for completing your transaction.
How do I place an international order?(top) Go to our International Orders page to find out about our international shipping rates. Please note that we cannot ship ATVs, dirt bikes, UTVs, scooters, dune buggies to anywhere in the world except for Canada. Parts and accessories are shipped world wide.
When is my credit card charged?(top) Your card is charged as soon as you place the order. If item is on back order, your card will still be charged. Please refer to shipping notes on auction detail pages as we specify which items are on back order and if yes how long back order status will last.
Will I need to pay sales tax?(top) GIObikes is required by law to remit sales tax (GST) on shipments to any province in Canadawhere it has a corporate or commercial presence. Therefore 5% GST is charged on all orders going to Canada. Note that PST is charged for all orders going to British Columbia and HST is charged on all orders going to Maritimes i.e. Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland. Tax is charged on the whole amount with shipping and handling.
There is no tax charged on orders going out of Canada i.e.no tax for international orders such as USA, Europe, Australia. However customers from these locations may have to pay local taxes and duties on arrival.
How long does it take for my order to be delivered? (top) In-stock items are typically shipped within 1-5 business days. Standard shipping within Canada takes only 4-6 business days. Express delivery takes 1-3 business days if your order is placed by 1 p.m. EST. Overnight delivery takes just one business day if your order is placed by 1 p.m. EST. Standard shipping from Canada to USA takes about 2-9 business days. All orders are shipped from Vancouver, BC, Canada. The fastest ground shipping is to WA and the longest to FL. Depending on what gets shipped to USA there could be customs delay of 1-2 business days.
Australia and Europe orders take about 4-6 business days to arrive
Can I make changes to my order after it has been submitted?(top) We're sorry, orders cannot be changed once they have been submitted. GIObikes processes orders quickly, which means that once an order begins the fulfillment process we are unable to modify it. Please take advantage of our return policy if you ultimately receive an unwanted part or accessory item. (Note that ATVs, dirt bikes, dune buggies, UTVs, scooters, electric products and power products cannot be returned. If you order product please make sure you order it).
What if I prefer not to place my order online? (top) If for any reason you prefer not to complete your order online, GIObikes will gladly accept your order by fax or mail. Visit our How to Order page for exact details on submitting an offline order. How do I cancel an order?(top) Once an order begins the fulfillment process we are unable to modify it and therefore cancel it.
How do I track the status of an order? (top) To view the status of a single order, login to your MYGIO profile, locate the order in question and order status along with tracking number will be displayed right there. Every single order is shipped with tracking numbers. It's that easy!
Payment, Coupons, Gift Cards
What methods of payment do you accept?(top) We accept credit card payment in the form of Mastercard and Visa only. We also accept PayPal® and Bill Me Later® as a form of payment. We also accept Money Order, Bank Certified Checks and Bank Wires. Bank wires will only be accepted on larger amounts of over 5000CAD.

What is Bill Me Later?(top) Bill Me Later is a convenient and secure payment method designed for purchases on the web or over the phone. Is it safe to use my credit card online?(top) As you complete your order through our online store, you'll be asked for your name, address and credit card information. We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) - the leading data encryption technology on the Internet - to send this personal information in an encrypted code to our servers. Only GIObikes can decode your encrypted information. (Please do not e-mail your order to GIObikes as we cannot guarantee the privacy or security of information transmitted via e-mail.) Do you offer special GIO Gift Cards ? (top) At this time GIObikes store does not offer special GIO Gift Card however this is something is still in works. We hope to bring GIO Gift Cards by end of 2009.
How to use discount field in the checkout ?(top) Enter the coupon code in the coupon/discount field on the shopping cart page and complete your order. You may only enter one coupon code per order. Shipping & Returns
How much shipping and handling will I pay? (top) GIObikes state of the art shipping calculator bases its shipping charges on actual shipping charges that shipping companies charge us. No more excessive shipping charges !! Exact shipping amount depends on where you live, how heavy your shipment is and the size of the order. Shipping charges are based from our warehouse in Richmond, BC, Canada, V6V3C1. Simply use shipping calculator on any product detail page or in the shopping cart. Specify country, province or state, zip/postal code and hit calculate button. Accurate shipping charge will be displayed. Is that easy !!! Also, our system chooses the cheapest shipping rate to your town between Day and Ross and Vitran. Both charges will still be displayed for you to choose from.
Do I have to pay shipping & handling for each shipment on my order?(top) We generally ship items as soon as they become available. If you receive multiple shipments due to some items on backorder, you will not be charged additional shipping & handling for each shipment. Please note: International orders containing more than one item will usually be shipped together.
What shipping carriers do you use? (top) We use a number of different carriers based on the size, weight and location of your package. Depending on the service you select, your package could be delivered by UPS, Day and Ross or Vitran. Some UPS Services partner with the Purolator (within Canada only) for final delivery of your package. Every single parts or accessories orders is shipped with UPS and evey single ATV, dirt bike, UTV, dune buggy, power, electric product is shipped with freight companies such as Day and Ross or Vitran.
What are "home delivery" and "tailgate" services and why pay extra ?(top) Normally freight companies deliver to business address only. Business address is the address which has load dock or forklift to unload the shipment. In this case there is no extra fee for delivery to a business address.
D&R or Vitran can also deliver to a residential address however they charge a fee for the service. You will see these fees in your shopping cart. Tailgate fee will also be required for home delivery because it is used to unload your item from the truck and put it on the ground. Imagine that you have 1300 LBS UTV which is in the truck, not possible to unload by hand therefore tailgate is used.
You may choose not to pay home delivery fee and tailgate fee, in this case you will have to pick up the order from the nearest Day & Ross or Vitran depot. For the full list of D&R/Vitran depots please check their websites www.dayross.ca and www.vitran.com. For example if you are in Calgary then you will have to pick up order from Calgary Day and Ross depot. Based on our experience shipping heavy items all over Canada for many eyars it is very rare that customers had to travel more then 100km one way. Average pick up depot distance is about 10-30km.
What is the GIOBikes Store return policy?(top) GIOBikes does not offer any return policy on its ATVs, dirt bikes, UTVs, dune buggies, scooters, electric and power products. For more info please check Sales Terms and Condition page. We will however accept returns on parts and accessories.
What if my product arrives damaged?(top) In the unlikely event that a product arrives damaged, please use our convenient online e-mail form . Regardless damages please DO NOT refuse product on delivery. Accept the product in ANY shape and contact us. All replacement parts will be replaced. Common shipping issues usually relate to body kit damages, headlights or rear led lights. Any other shipping issues are rare.

Do you offer combined shipping on multiple items ? (top) Yes, of course ! GIOBikes combined shipping on all products however there are some products that can't be combined. For example, parts and accessories cannot be combined with large freight items such as ATVs, Dirt Bikes, UTVs, Dune Buggies, Electric Scooters and Power Equipment which are shipped via Day and Ross or Vitran. For example, you will not be able to combine helmet order with 200cc GIO Beast ATV. Due to logistics one payment will have to be sent for helmet then the other payment sent for large product. System will show error message stating "Do not mix parts with large vehicles".
Shipping is combined when you order multiple parts and accessories as well as when you order products which are shipped via one shipping carrier. For example, shipping will be combined when you order 2 or more helmets, parts. Shipping will also be combined when you order one small ATV which is shipped via UPS (such as mini GIO 110cc) and helmet.
Make sure to complete checkout and payment for multiple units at the same time, for one checkout and one payment.
We can GUARANTEE that noone anywhere in Canada or USA or anywhere in the world using such sophisticated shipping calculator which helps you to save money on multiple items.
Do you offer local pick up services ?(top) We do not offer local pick up services at this time. If you wish to pick up the product please check a list of Authorized GIO dealers in Canada to see one closest to you. All orders placed on GIOBikes.com must be shipped. For local customers actual shipping fee will be charged and in all cases such fee is small.
Is there any insurance on products shipped ?(top) Yes, all products shipped with UPS are insured for 100 CAD free of charge. All products shipped with Day and Ross or Vitran are also insured 2 CAD per LBS. For example if you order 200cc GIO Beast which is 350 LBS, you will be insured for 700 dollars. Additional insurance cannot be purchased at this time.
Using My Account
What is the benefit of setting up GIO Buyer account?(top) Setting up and maintaining an account will simplify your shopping experience at GIOBikes.com. Log in and start benefiting from our convenient account services, like a personal address book that simplifies your shipping choices, securely saved credit card information, and our timely order tracking program to monitor all your orders. Create an account here. . You will also be able to keep track of all your reviews, all your questions and answers throughout the site. Account will also allow you to list your used GIO product in our classified section as well as let you bid on GIO no reserve auctions.
How do I change my password?(top) Go to My Account and select Edit My Profile to update your password. If you haven't already logged in, you'll be asked to log in with your e-mail address and current password. You'll then come to a screen that gives you the option to change your personal information. Simply fill in the fields you'd like to change and select Update when you're done.
How do I view my order history?(top) Go to My Account, login with your user name and password and under Orders tab select either Orders (Awaiting Payment), Orders (Ready To Ship) or Orders (Shipped & Closed). This will show you the most recent orders in various states. Ready to ship status will tell you that order was fully paid and just waiting to be shipped. Shipped & Closed status means that order has been shipped, tracking number will be emailed as well as posted next to the order. Awaiting Payment status means that order was not paid but you did added product(s) to your shopping cart and completed checkout to the end, perhaps Credit Card didn't go thru or you are sending us Money Order.
How do I keep track of my reviews, questions and answers?(top) Go to My Account, login with your user name and password and under GIO Reviews or GIO Q&A tab choose what you wish to do i.e. checkout all your previous reviews, see which reviews left to be posted, or edit some of the questions you asked or answers given.
Product Information
What if I have a question about a product? (top) First, post your question(s) directly on product detail page under Q&A section. This will allow any user on a site to answer your question as well as we have customer service reps who daily check questions and answer them quickly. If you still have a question about a product, you could also use our convenient online e-mail form to submit questions to our knowledgeable Customer Care Representatives.
How do I submit a product review?(top) If you would like to write and submit a review for one of our products, go to the desired product's detail page. Click on the "Write a review" link. Log in to your account or register to become a member. You will then be able to provide your feedback on that product, including ratings and a review. You may also add an image or share a video with your review (this particular feature is not available yet). Please note that there is one restriction to product review section, you can only post a review for a product which you paid for. As soon as product is paid for you can leave an honest review. Review cannot be posted unless paid.

Warranty Information
What kind of warranty do you offer? (top) GIObikes offers standard 6 (six) months limited warranty on all its products such as ATVs, dirt bikes, UTVs, dune buggies, gas scooters, electric product and power products. GIOBikes does not offer warranty on its parts and accessories unless stated otherwise. Note that standard warranty cannot be transferred to next owner.
What is the process behind filing a warranty claim?(top) In the unlikely event when product came with defective part(s) please contact us thru our convenient online e-mail form and state warranty issue in details. Make sure to specify your order detail information such as order number, and product VIN. You will also be able to attach up to 2 digital images to show problem areas (if neccessary).We will respond within 1-3 business days.
Do you offer extended warranty?(top) GIObikes offers extended warranty for 12 months on slected products. Extended warranty will cost anywhere between 50-300 dollars depending on the product. It covers everything what six months warranty covers except it is for 12 month. Extended warranty cannot be transferred to new owners.
