Vancouver, BC, Canada

Canadian Olympian Dylan Armstrong came by for a visit to GIO.  Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and 320 lbs, Dylan is the 5 time Canadian Champion in shot put and the hammerthrow, he is also Canada's National record holder for the sport. Dylan placed 1st at the Pan-American Games and 4th place at the Summer Olympics in Bejing, he is now training for London 2012.

Dylan loves the outdoors and ATVing, so he took the 300cc GIO Bear for a test drive.

Here is a short interview we had with Dylan, after the ride, over lunch:

1. How long have you been involved to ATVing and how did you get into the sport ?
I have been ATving for about 3 years now, its a great way for me to take a break from training and just relax and have fun! I got into ATVing through a few friends that had purchased some GIO atvs so i decided to purchase my own and have been having good times ever since.

2. What ATV(s) do you own ? and do you plan to buy more ATVs or any powersport in the future ?
I have a GIO Bear 300! I plan to buy a new GIO atv in the new year along with a chopper.

3. What do you like the most about ATVs ? and where do you ride it ?
The thing I like about ATVs are that they provide so much freedom. They basically can go anywhere you want them too! I do all my riding in the Thompson and Okanagan area.

4. What would be the scariest ATV moment and the most pleasant one ?
The scariest moment was when I got stuck in about 3 feet of mud during a late afternoon and thought I would be spending the rest of the night in a mud hole. The best time I have had on a ATV is when I took a three day tour in the Canadian Rockies it was amazing!

5. What is your favorite outdoors location for ATVing ?
My favourite outdoor place for ATVing is in the hills behind my house.

6. How do you like your GIO experience so far ?
They are a  first class business! Excellent service. The have always been very supportive and help full with any inquires I have had.

7. Would you consider buying a GIO quad vs what you have now ?
I would definitely buy another GIO Atv! I think I will get one with more power!

8. Just for the sake of things, how much do you bench press ?
GIO Bear 300cc 4x4 ATV which is about 600 LBS.

9. Any plans to participate for upcoming Olympics in London, England ?
Definately, I'm training very hard for the London games in 2012

10. What is your favorite food ?
I would have to say Steak and Lobster.

I would like to thank Gio for this interview, and for those of you interested in purchasing these machines you WONT be disappointed!
